For 3 1/2 years he worked on a prototype in his basement and made contacts with a number of companies to develop the right parts plus, registering trademarks and patents. The culmination of his efforts was an appearance at The Super Show (the King Kong of sporting goods shows in the world) in Atlanta in February of 1998. When Rolbak was voted as one of the top 5 sports products for 1998 by 6242 buyers at The Super Show, Malcolm was ecstatic. After that he was on a rocket to the moon when Rolbak was featured in an article in USA Today and on NBCs Today Show. He used to bungee jump, scuba dive, fly an airplane and ride a motorcycle. He still runs and wears the No. 108 race bib to match his 1995 race day body temperature. Malcolm also paints wildlife pictures, writes childrens short stories and designs board games.
