When noted golf engineer and inventor Mr. Archer Chen developed the titanium-faced, molded carbon Thunderbolt golf club, he knew he had to find a way to get the club into the hands of the golfing public. He contacted Dr. Jonathan Brazee, a noted professor, avid golfer, and business start-up specialist. Together, they founded Scottish Glen Golf Company, Inc. The club was tested against Callaway, TaylorMade, Yonex, Wilson, and Cobra by independent testers in San Diego, CA. The Thunderbolt out-drove all of the other clubs and closely trailed only the Callaway in accuracy, beating the others by a significant margin. Armed with this data, Scottish Glen rolled out a national TV advertising campaign, and the Thunderbolt was on its way. Selling for 179.95, the club sold very well with thousands of satisfied customers. Once the company was well established, Dr. Brazee sold his share of the company back to Mr. Chen. Part of the terms was a small stock of Thunderbolt clubs which Dr. Brazee kept.
