CL Activewear is a private company, established in 1989 to design and manufacture clothing for three specific markets; the sports team market, the promotional apparel market (a corporate clientele) and the private label market. From its head office in Montreal, the firm can easily increase its production capacity to meet additional market requirements by setting up new production lines. The company specializes in a new technology, dye sublimation, which involves printing a customer’s colors, logos and patterns directly into a cloth’s fibre. Although clothing styles vary according to each customer, the firm’s specialty is jackets (summer-winter), jerseys (tods-men-women), pants, shorts, leotards, swimsuits and other specialty garments. All of these products, which are entirely made in Canada, are sold at competitive prices. These rugged clothes require little maintenance and are guaranteed against any defects in workmanship. The company has embraced high technology and uses a computerized pattern grading and tracing system to ensure prompt and effective service for its customers. Research and development is a crucial aspect of CL Activewear’s operations. In fact, the company is determined to keep its products in step with a fashion industry which is constantly changing. When designing new models, our designer-patternmaker and team of graphic artists work together to ensure the success of each project. The company sells its clothing under the trade names of, CL, Buzz Original’s and Klonx.
