I was born the 29 October of 1964 in Herford, Germany and started Karate-Do at the age of 14. In 1981 I was one of the founders of the Shirokuma Dojo in Berlin (www.shirokuma.de) under the instructions of Sensei Detlef Bosin. Our dojo was first affiliated to the German Karate Confederation (Deutscher Karate Bund - DKB) with chief instructor Sensei Ochi, Hideo. The DKB later on was integrated into the German Karate Federation (Deutscher Karate Verband - DKV). I was assistant instructor at the Shirokuma dojo since year 1982 more or less. Later on I started teaching at the University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin - FU).
