Our training blades are made of stout 1/4 inch thick aircraft aluminum with a lightly polished finish. All points and edges are rounded to avoid unnecessary nicks. Handles have our unique style cord wrap for a non-slip grip and come in six popular colors. Designed originally after discussions with W. Hock Hochheim, of Close Quarters Combat Magazine, and Master Steve Materkowski, of the Colorado Combat Hapkido Association, about the need for well made training knives. We first met Hock at one of his seminars sponsored by Master Materkowski. They had been frustrated by the lack of availability of realistic training knives for their students to purchase and train with safely.
