Since 1972, Smith Performance Specialties has been known for its innovative chassis engineering which is proven at drag strips through out the U.S.A. and Canada. Back in 1987, the SPS-built Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera became the prototype of a front-wheel drive car transformed into a rear-wheel drive race car. This Ciera became the model for N.H.R.A.s guidelines on front-wheel drive conversions.
