The BackCountry is the online extension of our retail store. We carry all the top brands of backcountry gear for Cycling, Backcountry Skiing, Snowshoeing, Climbing, and Backpacking. Our goal is to be your favorite store! The Tahoe City store is now called Tahoe City Bikes, and is not where you should go to shop for the techie gear and clothing. We still own this store, and are re-focusing on the products and services which have traditionally done well. This store is 100% bike shop in the summer. We have a large bike rental fleet, a small cafe, and 10 computers for your internet addiction. AS of today, we are not sure whats going to happen in the winter. We believe a more traditional and versatile Ski Shop will do best in the Tahoe City store. Youll pinch yourself every day to see if its real, that you stare at Lake Tahoe all day. Other Tahoe City Businesses in our 690 N. Lake Location: Gear & Grind Cafe has the best ice-cream anywhere, made fresh by Tahoe Creamery. Youll find great coffee too, breakfast and pannini sandwhiches, and a comfy couch to watch ski and biking videos. Laptop Lounge is our internet business, where you can also copy and fax. And finally, Clear Water Day Spa occupies the second floor. They employee some of the best massage and body work people in the area.
